Cat Power returns with “Ruin”, taken from her forthcoming album Sun.  It’s the first batch of original material since 2006’s The Greatest. Chan Marshall’s new record is due September 4 on Matador Records — where you can download “Ruin” for free. I love the way she phrases, “Bitchin’, complainin’”, like she’s trying to be smug and sexy at the same time. It works.
